Our Founder

Susan Armstrong

Susan is a peruvian born, living in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Lake Forest, IL with her husband and her son. Since she was a child, she is passionate of handmade clothes and always has great admiration for her strong and independent grandmothers. Her dream is to support women in vulnerable communities who have similar financial hardships.

In 2019, after moving to Boston to pursue her MBA degree and taking New Venture Creation Class in Babson College, the idea of launching a sustainable premium alpaca apparel business emerged and Altamira was founded in Boston, MA. 
 
Susan is a professional with twelve years of experience in CPG, Retail, E-commerce and NGO in Peru and USA.

    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Babson College, Massachusetts – USA
